Brian and Jalysa had a beautifully elegant wedding on Saturday, August 10th at the Warner Theater in Erie, PA. Followed by the reception right around the corner at The Masonic Temple! It was a very special day and you could tell that these two had put a lot of thought and consideration into everything!!
Brian and Jalysa were introduced by a mutual friend when they were in college and became friends very quickly. Their first date was at Starbucks and if you follow me on Instagram, I shared that we stopped there for their engagement session and naturally, we HAD to stop there on their wedding day as well!! Its so cool to have those pictures and see their story come full circle from first date to the wedding day.
Back to their first date, Jalysa had just come from a pre-op appointment to meet Brian. She was anxious and stressed but within a few minutes of talking to Brian he had calmed her nerves and they talked for 4 HOURS! From that moment on they knew they were meant to be! For the past couple of years, their relationship has been long distance but they would not be as strong of a couple today without the struggles of the distance. When I asked them what they were most excited for with marriage, they responded and I quote, “TO LIVE TOGETHER!!!!!!”
Jalysa was extremely close to her grandmother before she passed, and wanted to be sure to have her grandmother by her side on the wedding day. She used a lot of inspiration from her grandmother’s style. From the feathers and pearls, to the Czechoslovakian glass and crystal chandeliers. Jalysa also incorporated her grandmother’s earrings into her bouquet! This added such a special meaning to her details and they were GORGEOUS!
Congratulations to Brian and Jalysa! I am praying and encouraging you as you embark on this exciting journey! May you always love doing the simple things of life together!
