Clay and Lauren’s rustic style wedding took place on Saturday, August 17, at a family camp in Chautauqua, NY. Even though we battled some rain throughout the day, it was a beautiful ceremony where we celebrated Clay & Lauren’s commitment to each other surrounded by their closest friends and family!
The day was filled with rain drops, tears, love, and lots of laughter. Lauren was so happy to be marrying her best friend that she didn’t even let the rain phase her. This wedding had so much love and effort poured into it, it was amazing to see it unfold! Their family did pretty much everything! From the food, to the decorating, and everything in-between! A huge shout out to Tina, Lauren’s mom, who planted over 2,400+ Lillies just to make sure they would have some beautiful blooms in perfect time for the wedding. And oh man, did it pay off! The bouquets were stunning! (Don’t just take my word for it, scroll down and see!!!)
Clay and Lauren met about 7 years ago through mutual friends. She thought he was too young for her but he couldn’t take his eyes off her (Can you blame him though!? Look at how gorgeous this girl is!) When I asked who eventually initiated the relationship, there was two sides to the story. We will just say it was a mutual decision! It went something like this.. he was good friends with her brother and they spent time building a friendship through time with friends. Lauren began texting Clay when she was gone to tell him that she was excited to hang out and they both eventually felt like there was something more than a friendship there! The next time she was home, Clay says he made the first move with a kiss and they’ve been together ever since!
Their love for each-other is beautiful and I am grateful to have captured another wedding with another awesome couple! I truly think I have some of the best couples out there!
Thank you to everyone who made Lauren & Claytons wedding special. From the bridal party holding umbrellas for us in the rain to the family who helped decorate, to all of the guests in celebration! Here is too happily ever after!
