Weeks before their beautiful Pennsylvania wedding reception, Evan and Carolyn exchanged vows during an intimate Maui elopement in Hawaii, followed by time celebrating together on the beautiful island of Kauai. Their decision to combine a romantic destination elopement with a backyard wedding reception back home created the best experience if you ask me!!

From the tropical scenery of Maui to a lakeside celebration in Mercer, Pennsylvania, their wedding story was the perfect blend of adventure, intimacy, and joyful celebration with family and friends.

The day was warm, sunny, and full of celebration, although heavy rain the night before had left behind plenty of mud by the end of the evening. But nothing could keep these guests off the dance floor! Friends and family came ready to celebrate Evan and Carolyn, and the muddy ground only added to the fun and unforgettable memories of the night.

With a gorgeous backyard tent reception overlooking the lake, every detail created such a romantic and welcoming atmosphere. Planned beautifully by Evan’s mom, the evening was filled with heartfelt moments, dancing, laughter, and the kind of celebration that reminds everyone what weddings are truly about — gathering with the people you love most.
