Leading up to Zach and Maddie’s wedding day at the beautiful Watson-Curtze Mansion in Erie, Pennsylvania, everyone had their eyes on the forecast. While the morning brought a few showers, we were thankfully spared from the rain for the rest of the day — although the intense 56 mph winds had other plans! We managed to sneak outside for a few bridal party portraits, but the majority of the day took place inside the historic mansion, which created such a romantic and timeless atmosphere for their celebration.
Maddie thoughtfully designed every detail of the wedding around rich jewel tones and meaningful sentimental touches. One of the most special parts of the day was seeing dozens of her grandmother’s trinkets incorporated throughout the reception décor and centerpieces, adding so much warmth, personality, and meaning to the celebration.
The entire day came together beautifully thanks to wedding planner Ruth from Serindipity Planned and the team! From the thoughtful details to the smooth flow of the day, everything felt intentional, relaxed, and beautifully coordinated from beginning to end. One of the most emotional moments of the day happened before guests even arrived. Serindipity Planned had each room throughout the Watson-Curtze Mansion designed with its own unique color palette and theme, creating such an immersive and intentional experience throughout the reception space. When Maddie finally got to see everything fully set up, she immediately burst into tears of joy. After months of planning and envisioning every detail, watching it all come together was such a special moment.
The florals by Beyond the Barnyard Flower Co. perfectly complemented the rich jewel-toned palette and added such a romantic feel throughout the mansion. And during the ceremony, live music performed by a cellist from the Erie Philharmonic created the most elegant and emotional atmosphere. Live instrumental music during a wedding ceremony always adds something extra special.
The bridal party enjoyed fun transportation throughout the day with La Grande Elite Limousine, while rentals from Party Plus Erie and Lumii’s Party Rentals helped bring Maddie’s vision to life.
Maddie and her girls looked absolutely stunning thanks to makeup by Beauty by Laurel Costello and hair by High Styled Hair.
Shout out to Mission BBQ for the delicious BBQ dinner and all the yummy treats from Sweet Dreams.
One of the coolest parts of cocktail hour was the champagne cart and the charcuterie cart from Social Spreads! Such a unique touch and such a fun guest experience! And speaking of great experiences, Caroline with Buchas Brush Work, painted live during the reception, capturing the celebration in real time! So many thought-out details throughout the entire day!!
And once the dance floor opened up, Greg Anderson kept the crowd dancing all night long!!
But above all, the thing that stood out most throughout the day was Zach and Maddie’s love! They were playful, flirty, and completely smitten with each other — the kind of couple that makes documenting a wedding feel effortless. Their love for one another radiated throughout the entire celebration and was felt by everyone around them.
This Erie, PA mansion wedding was the perfect blend of elegance, personality, meaningful details, and joyful celebration.
A huge thanks to all the great vendors who worked together to make this day so beautiful and an extra thanks to Ruth from Serindipity Planned for pivoting so well through all the extremes of the weather and pulling off a seamless day for Maddie and Zach!
