Emily & Carlos | Elegant Erie Yacht Club Wedding in Erie, PA

Some wedding days are beautiful because of the details. Others are beautiful because of the people. Emily and Carlos’ wedding day was the perfect combination of both.

Their day began at St. Peter Cathedral in Erie, Pennsylvania, one of the most breathtaking ceremony locations in Erie. With the gorgeous architecture, the cathedral provided the perfect setting for Emily and Carlos’ ceremony.

Guests then made their way to the Erie Yacht Club, one of Erie’s most iconic waterfront wedding venues. Nestled along the shores of Lake Erie, the Yacht Club offers stunning views of the water, making it a favorite for couples planning a timeless Erie wedding. As one of the area’s greatest treasures, Lake Erie provided a gorgeous backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

While every wedding has its own unique story, one of my favorite parts of this day was getting to know not only Emily, but also the groom, Carlos. As a wedding photographer, I often communicate primarily with the bride throughout the planning process. This wedding was a little different. From our first conversations, Carlos was incredibly involved, thoughtful, and genuinely excited about the photography experience. His enthusiasm for documenting every meaningful moment was refreshing and such a joy to be part of. He was kind, considerate, and absolutely thrilled to marry Emily. And speaking of Emily—she was absolutely stunning! Together, they made such a beautiful couple, and it was easy to see how much they adore one another.

One of the most emotional moments of the day came during the reception when Emily’s father welcomed everyone with a heartfelt speech. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Looking around, I saw guests wiping away tears, embracing one another, and smiling through the emotion. It was one of those moments that reminds you of the deeper meaning of the love and support of family, and the people who have helped shape your story.

Every detail of the day was thoughtfully planned and beautifully executed. The floral designs by Allburn Florist added elegance and romance throughout the ceremony and reception spaces. Beautiful florals have a way of elevating every part of a wedding day, and Allburn Florist absolutely delivered. From the bouquets to the reception décor, every arrangement was stunning.

As the evening continued, DJ Tam from Erie DJ Company kept the dance floor packed. Guests dancing, laughing, and celebrating all night long, creating the kind of energy every couple hopes for on their wedding day.

Lastly, the sunset!

The golden light over Lake Erie created the dreamiest portraits! As the sun dipped toward the horizon, Emily and Carlos stepped out for a few quiet moments together. The soft light reflecting across the water created some of my favorite images from the entire day. These sunset portraits were nothing short of magical and the perfect ending to an unforgettable wedding celebration.
