Now that you know the ceremony do’s and don’ts – it is time to tackle venues!
Choosing your venue is one of the first things you do after getting engaged (after you book me of course 😉), especially these days as wedding venues are filled up with C*vid overflow STILL! It can be stressful deciding on a location that will fit all of your needs and your guests. So whether you live on the line between PA & NY like I do, or are looking for somewhere close to family – I have just the post for you!
Before we get into the actual venues, let’s go over really quickly what to look for when choosing a venue!
What is your style? Are you thinking of a boho wedding, a classic style, or something more outdoors elopement style? The answer to those questions will help you choose a venue and backdrop for your wedding day.
Do you want indoor, outdoor, or both? This will help in determining if you need multiple locations or something that does both!
Be sure to VISIT a few places! While pictures are fantastic, they don’t always convey the feel or functionality of a venue.
BUDGET! This may be the most important – set a hard line for a budget and a number you are willing to pay for a location. Weddings are all about prioritizing what is important to each couple.
Majestic Woods in Clymer, NY
This venue is perfect for you if you are looking for 2 different outdoor ceremony locations to pick from and an indoor location for a backup plan for the weather. This venue also has a bridal suite to get ready in and flexibly to make your day all you want it to be! This location is also very close to Peek’n Peek for overnight guests!
Quincy Cellars in Ripley, NY
With their top-notch catering, this venue allows for you to handle less of the details and more of the fun! You get the smell of grapes in the fall, the outdoor dance floor in the summer, and beautiful scenery throughout the whole year! A perfect classic venue if you wanted to add some tasteful pops of color to your wedding!
Peek’n Peak in Findley Lake, NY
This venue is for my rustic, woodsy brides who want that cozy resort for their guests as well. This venue is the perfect location for a winter wedding and has rooms for you and your guests to stay overnight!
